L@TE Poster #5 (June 2010)

As part of the L@TE program at the Berkley Art Museum, we have begun an exciting series of original prints to accompany each month’s bill of events and performances. Under the guise of a “bill,” or “line up,” each poster is meant to document the wide array of musicians, artists, writers, and more, who have participated in L@TE.

These posters are original prints, designed and executed by some of the Bay Area’s leading artists and designers. Stay tuned month by month, as we unveil a new work with each batch of L@TE events. Posters will be available individually, but may also be purchased as a collectible series of original artists prints come the end of the L@TE program in June.

In the spirit of World Cup 2010 and an international cast of L@TE performers, artist Adam 5100 collaborated with artist and designer Nate Hooper to bring a history of soccer to BAM/PFA. In 1967, a soccer team composed of UCBerkeley International Students, playing for a team called The Oakland Clippers, brought the first-ever national professional championship in any sport to the City of Oakland. Each player graduated from UC Berkeley, and brought notoriety not only to the school, but to the sport.
